Human Resources Graduate

Bord na Móna currently has a need for a HR Graduate to join the HR
team supporting a range of Businesses including Renewable Energy & Land
& Habitats.

The role will be based in Newbridge and will report to the HR Business Partner.

This role will include providing day-to-day operational human resources support to the existing HR Team on various projects and initiatives whilst gaining practical experience of general HR duties and developing key interpersonal and communication skills.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:

  • Provide an effective service to all key stakeholders by completing all HR related tasks in an efficient and confidential manner. Assist in the implementation of HR strategies aligned with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
  • Maintain good business relationships and communication channels with key stakeholders including HR, Line Managers and Employees to ensure the delivery of a first class customer service.
  • Work with the other members of the HR Team to innovate team processes and systems including the delivery of ad-hoc projects as required to facilitate the efficient delivery of HR Services. Work proactively with external partners such as recruitment agencies, departmental officials, IBEC, training providers and technology providers, as appropriate.
  • Utilise and develop the internal communications channels and methods to support high engagement and participation in company initiatives. Assist in capturing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records in Oracle, Training and other databases.
  • Actively assist in the creation of a team culture that lives and promotes efficiency, effectiveness, innovation, flexibility and a positive work ethic.
  • Support in all aspects of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and employee development. Provide assistance to employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
  • All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises
  • Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team’s objectives.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:

  • Hons Degree in HR, Business Studies or other related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders. Self-motivated & resilient with the capacity to work under pressure. Attention to detail.
