An important reminder that all households generating organic waste (green waste, food waste) are legally required to separate this waste from their general and recycling waste and dispose of it through the brown/organic bin system.
Failure to segregate organic waste properly may result in fines up to €75 per offence or legal proceedings from your local authority.
If you have not opted for an organic bin, you must demonstrate to your local authority that you are disposing appropriately of your organic waste.
