Bord na Móna Recycling were honoured to attend Barretstown’s 30th Anniversary Gala Ball this past month and they celebrated three decades of joy, resilience, and hope. Over 900 guests were in attendance including Uachtarán na hÉireann Michael D. Higgins, with the event raising 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 €𝟏.𝟑 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧.
Attending on behalf of Bord na Móna Recycling were Head of Resource Recovery Cormac Manning, alongside Susan McManus, Keith Ryan, Robyn Lynch, Helena O’Connell, Shane Mackey, Lauralouise Reay, Shane Byrne as well as Pat Flynn and Donal O’Sullivan.
The unforgettable evening of star-studded entertainment was hosted by Angela Scanlon and included inspirational talks from families and Clea Newman, daughter of the late Barretstown founder Paul Newman. It also saw live performances by campers and artists such as; Dermot Kennedy, Paul Byrom, Steve & Joe Wall, Mundy, and Sister Sledge – the Slegendary.
Over the past 30 years, Barretstown has welcomed over 125,000 children and families affected by cancer and other serious illnesses, offering hope, healing, and unforgettable memories. Thanks to your support Bord na Móna Recycling will continue to donate a percentage of online bill payments made by you, our customers to Barretstown and other charity initiatives and support their mission of making a real difference in the lives of children.
