Athgarvan Pitch and Putt Club celebrated its 75th year Anniversary on September 22nd 2024 (1949-2024) on the day of their annual Founders Cup.
The Founders Cup has been an annual event since 2019 and was set up to provide an equal opportunity event that recognises all grades and gives them the same opportunity at glory. The event consists of five grades, five winners and five equal prizes and cups.
The day consisted of over 100 competitors from all over Ireland as well as from local Kildare Clubs. They were also joined by Lil Brady and Deirdre Hewitt, who are remaining family members of the founders and have joined for the Founders Cup every year since 2019.
Bord na Móna Recycling are proud to have had the opportunity to sponsor prizes at this event, with trophies presented by Finance Graduate, Daniel Condon.
