We are excited to announce that Bord na Móna is proudly sponsoring the Taste of Kildare festival of food and drink, taking place at Naas Racecourse from the 20th to the 22nd of September 2024. This vibrant event is a celebration of cuisine featuring some of the finest food and drink from Ireland’s top restaurants, chefs, and artisans.

Bord na Móna Family Day 

At Taste of Kildare, there’s something for everyone, especially families! From 12 PM to 6 PM on Sunday the 22nd, bring the whole family for a fun-filled day at Naas Racecourse, where you can roam, taste, and enjoy. Kids will love the free activities lined up, including:

• Mini Masterchef classes in the Chef Theatre, where young chefs can pick up new culinary skills.
• Biscuit making and pizza creation workshops.
• Cake decorating with none other than the famed Cupcake Bloke, Graham Herterich.
• Grow your own vegetables and mandala-making craft workshops.
• Interactive fun at the Junior Einstein Science Hub.

Of course, you can also visit our Bord na Móna Recycling stand, where the popular bin game will be back for another round of recycling fun. Families can learn more about sustainable waste management while engaging in activities that are both educational and entertaining.

Bord na Móna Recycling’s Tony Finnerty, a seasoned expert with over 25 years in the waste management industry, takes the stage on Sunday to discuss the importance of organic bins and waste segregation in the home. 

With his deep knowledge and hands-on experience, Tony will share expert insights on why proper waste segregation is essential for minimising environmental impact and creating a more sustainable future. Whether you’re curious about waste segregation or looking for practical advice, don’t miss this opportunity to learn how you can make a big difference, starting in your own kitchen!

For food lovers, there will be delicious samples, unique restaurant dishes, and culinary delights catering to all ages. While you taste your way through the festival, enjoy great live music that will keep the atmosphere lively throughout the weekend
