The Bord na Móna Recycling Community Fund is dedicated to enhancing the well-being and development of the local communities we serve. Recognising that our success is intertwined with the health and prosperity of these communities, we are committed to reinvesting a portion of our revenue into initiatives that provide social, cultural, and environmental benefits.
A notable aspect of our fund is the donation of 1% of all online payments over €30 from our domestic customers to our charity partner Barretstown. Additionally, the fund is used to support a variety of sports clubs, charities, and organizations, including resident associations, youth groups, tidy town committees, and environmental groups. Some of the local initiatives we have supported include Barretstown, The Ryston Irish Cup, Lusk Summer Festival, the Dublin Pride Run, Jack and Gill and many more.
The Bord na Móna Recycling Community Fund also promotes environmental education initiatives and competitions, most recently our Primary Schools Upcycling Competition reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
By investing in these projects, we aim to foster stronger, healthier, and more vibrant communities, ensuring that our growth contributes positively to the places we operate in. We are proud of the impact our fund has made over the years and look forward to continuing this important work.
