Do you have an old sofa or mattress hanging around? Now is the chance to get rid of them for free. Bord na Móna Recycling in partnership with Kildare County Council, the Regional Waste Enforcement Office and the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications; is holding a free used mattress and couch recycling day to help households recycle these bulky items and reduce dumping across county Kildare.
Visit the Silliot Hill Recycling Centre in Kilcullen on Sunday 3rd October from 9am to 3pm.
The following items will be accepted for recycling for free on the day and maximum quotas will apply:
Double, single, and triple mattresses – up to 6 per household
Armchairs – up to 3 per household
Couches – up to 2 per household
Padded foot-stools – up to 2 per household
All other household waste can be recycled as normal at the Civic Amenity Site when normal service and opening hours resume on Monday 4th October.
